"One of the most important aspects of COST is that it genuinely caters to the multistate tax needs of its member companies. Providing cutting edge educational programs and publications, acting as a clearing house for SALT resources, taking amicus positions on important SALT court cases and otherwise lobbying and weighing in on leading SALT legislation."

Community

One of the greatest benefits of a COST membership is the opportunity to meet and interact with other members of the State Tax Community.  COST members who participate in COST meetings, on COST committees and in the COST Forum interact with professionals from other COST-member companies and Practitioner Partners.  Through that participation, COST members join a large social network of individuals with similar professional experiences, who face similar challenges in their careers, and deal with the same state tax issues.  The result is a community whose members, with a lot in common,  provide support to each other throughout their professional careers.
