IRS Reg.: Advanced Manufacturing Investment Credit Election Correction (IRC §48D)

Corrections to T.D. 9989 (Mar. 11, 2024) concerning the elective payment election of the advanced manufacturing investment credit under the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Act of 2022, the IRS released. The following corrections are made: (1) on page 17597, in the third column, the ninth line of the first full paragraph is corrected to read "§1.48D–6(b)(7)(iv) is revised in the"; (2) on page 17600, in the first column, fourth line from the bottom of the column is corrected to read, "completed Form 3800 which may be"; and (3) on page 17605, in the third column, the second line from the bottom of the column is corrected to read, "credit. Letter with Concerns Regarding Proposed Limited Threshold for Taxation of Nonresident Employees in L.B. 1023

COST submitted a letter to Speaker Arch of Nebraska regarding certain provisions in L.B. 1023 that propose a limited 7-day conference and training threshold with a $5,000 wage cap for taxation of nonresident employees. COST’s letter encourages the Legislature to instead adopt COST’s Model language with a 30-day threshold.
