The Center is 20 minutes from DFW Airport and offers complimentary shuttle service to and from DFW Airport. The shuttle can be picked up at the airport in the lower level baggage area in the shuttle service pick up area.  There is complimentary shuttle service from the Conference Center to local entertainment, shopping and restaurants. Historic Downtown Grapevine, Local Wineries, Grapevine Mills Mall, Texas Motor Speedway and Texas Stadium are just a few of the local attractions..  

Tuition Information

The COST Intermediate/Advanced School Course Tuition for full paying students includes:

  • A private, fully equipped hotel room for arriving on Sunday, May 19th and departing on Thursday, May 23rd .
  • 4 full days of meals and snacks beginning with dinner on Sunday, May 19th and ending with lunch on Thursday, May 23rd.
  • Comprehensive study and reference materials to use on an electronic tablet which is yours to keep.
  • 4 days of small group training by recognized leaders in the state and local tax field.
  • Evening Activities.
  • In-Room Internet (passcode will be given at hotel check-in on Sunday, May 19th).

The COST Intermediate/Advanced School Course Tuition for commuter paying students includes:

  • 4 full days of meals and snacks beginning with dinner on Sunday, May 19th and ending with lunch on Thursday, May 23rd.
  • Comprehensive study and reference materials on an electronic tablet which is yours to keep.
  • 4 days of small group training by recognized leaders in the state and local tax field.
  • Evening Activities.

Meals

All meals will be served in the Conference Dining Room, which is open from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Snack service will be provided throughout the meeting area between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. If lighter fare is preferred for breakfast, a continental breakfast is also served in these snack areas in the morning. (A COST badge must be worn.)  

Reservations / Room Information

COST will make the hotel reservations for each full time registrant.  All reservations will be made with each attendee arriving on Sunday, May 19th and departing on Thursday, May 23rd.  The School registration fee includes the four nights.  If you plan to arrive early or depart later, please inform COST as to your plans.  Each additional night is $159 plus taxes.  Each individual will be responsible for payment upon check out of the hotel for the additional night(s).

The Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center has 395 guestrooms. All rooms have high speed internet access, flat-screen TV’s, private bathroom, irons and ironing boards, in-room coffee and tea service, room service, bath robes, and complimentary newspapers. Advanced fitness center and indoor pool are available to guests. Non-smoking and wheelchair accessible rooms are available. Check in time is 3:00 p.m. and check out is 11:00 a.m.

Cancellation Policy / Restrictions

Cancellation policy for the Intermediate/Advanced Schools: There will be a $75 cancellation fee for cancellations received before 5:00 p.m. on April 1, 2019.  Cancellations received between April 1, 2019 and April 19th will receive a 50% refund.  No refunds will be allowed after April 19th. All cancellations/substitutions must be in writing.

Registration is limited to 150 students.

Photo Permission

By registering for the COST Intermediate/Advanced Schools, attendees hereby agree to allow COST to use any photos taken of them during the school in news media, website, publications, articles, marketing pieces, etc. 

Continuing Education Credits

COST will assist in applying for Continuing Education credit for the 2019 Intermediate/Advanced Schools.  COST is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
