Transportation

16th Street Shuttle – Runs throughout the central business and entertainment district of downtown Denver.

Light Rail Service/RTD – Stops at most corners in the city, including Invesco Field, Pepsi Center/Six Flags/Elitch Gardens, Union Station - Lower downtown (LODO)/Coors Field/16th Street Mall.

Denver Airport Rail- Travelers can now use A Line, the new rail service from Denver International Airport to LoDo's (lower downtown) Union Station and back, courtesy of Regional Transportation District (RTD).  The Denver airport rail has six stops along the way and takes approximately 37 minutes at a cost of $9 each way.

Program:

Registration for the Property Tax Workshop can be done online at any time, or, in-person, from 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13th through 12 noon on Thursday, September 15th.

This two and a half day Workshop will cover the latest property tax issues and trends companies are dealing with in 2022 and will deal with in the future – including an in-depth review of the latest developments in property tax legislation and litigation throughout the U.S.  Presenters will be leading experts in the property tax field. Only employees of COST member and non-COST member companies are invited to attend.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols at COST Meetings – All in-person attendees at COST meetings will be required to comply with current state, local, and meeting venue COVID-19 safety protocols as well as submit a health survey upon arrival at the meeting. COST will provide COVID-19 mitigation protocols in advance of the meeting, which may require unvaccinated attendees to wear a facemask while not eating, drinking, or social distancing, and/or a recommendation to wear a facemask for vaccinated attendees unless eating, drinking, or social distancing. Thank you for your understanding as we deal with the ever-changing COVID world.

COVID-19 Refund/Credit Policy for COST Meetings – COST will refund 100% of registration fees for registered attendees unable to attend a COST meeting in 2022 due to company COVID-19 travel restrictions in place at the time of the meeting. In addition, COST will issue an appropriate refund or credit for attendees unable to attend all or part of a COST meeting due to illness. COST will also allow substitute attendees if a registered attendee is unable to attend due to COVID-19 related issues.

Cancellation Fees:

A $50 cancellation fee will be imposed for cancellations received on or before September 1, 2022; cancellations after September 1st will not be refunded.

We encourage you to make your room reservations early as rooms in the COST block and hotel will sell out. Note: August 23rd is the room reservation cut-off date. Rooms at the group rate may not be available if the COST room block sells out prior to August 23rd.

Continuing Education:

COST will assist you in applying for Continuing Education credit for the COST 2022 Property Tax Workshop. COST is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.

Weather:

September’s average high in Denver is in the low 80’s and the average low is in the low-50’s. Dress for the conference is business casual.  We encourage you to bring a sweater or jacket to the meeting as the meeting rooms tend to be on the cooler side.
