Program:

Registration begins at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14th with the first session starting at 3:30 p.m. The Workshop will conclude at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16th.

The goal of this program is to bring multistate property tax professionals, who have various levels of experience, together to have extensive interactions and to exchange valuable information.  Timely legislative and litigation updates are provided, as well as recent property tax trends and opportunities to make sure your business’s property is not over taxed. The program will also have an interactive audit session and no advanced preparation is needed.

Indirect State Tax Seminar

On Tuesday, August 14th, COST will be hosting a half day session on Indirect State Taxes. Plan your schedule to attend this morning session which will provide an update on significant state indirect tax issues with a focus on sales/use taxes - plus unclaimed property tax matters. By registering for both events, the registration fee for the Indirect State Tax Seminar is complimentary.

Cancellation Policy:

A $50 cancellation fee will be imposed for cancellations received on or before August 1st; cancellations after August 1st will not be refunded.  Member companies must be in good standing with COST at time of registration and time of program for employees to attend at the COST membership rate.

Continuing Education:

COST will assist in applying for Continuing Education credit for the 2018 Property Tax Workshop.  COST is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org. For CLE credits and more CPE information, please email [email protected]. This course is tentatively approved for 15 CPE (50 min.) hours. COST will also assist in securing CLE credits with state bar associations.

Dress:

Dress for the conference is business casual.  We encourage you to bring a sweater or jacket to the meeting as the meeting rooms tend to be on the cooler side.
