STRI News Release: A Report on State Tax Haven Legislation

State Tax Research Institute (STRI) – a foundation affiliated with the Council On State Taxation (COST) – is pleased to announce the release of its study on state “tax haven” legislation. The report, “State Tax Haven Legislation: A Misguided Approach to a Global Issue,” provides an in-depth analysis of the problems, fallacies, and risks associated with adopting tax haven legislation.  Click here for the full study.


Update on Mobile Workforce State Income Tax Simplification Act

On June 17, 2015, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee held a mark-up and passed H.R. 2315, the Mobile Workforce State Income Tax Simplification Act, by a vote of 23-4.  H.R. 2315 has 135 bipartisan cosponsors, and the 295-member Mobile Workforce Coalition is focusing lobbying efforts to schedule a floor vote for the bill.  For more information or to join the Mobile Workforce coalition efforts, please contact  Douglas Lindholm or click here.
